The program is designed to allow participants the chance to explore nature. The program will include stewardship, discovery, animal studies, gardening projects, arts and crafts and more. Participants should wear appropriate shoes and clothing for outside play.

 

PLAY PALS

Ages: 3 - 5 (with adult companion)

Play Pals offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate with their little ones in fun activities. Each program may include activity stations, story time, songs, arts and crafts and new learning experiences.

 

CHEERS & CHANTS

Ages: 4 - 6

Learn cheerleading techniques including jumps, chants, cheers and more in this 6-week class. Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

 

CHEERNASTICS

Ages: 7 - 12

This class will focus on the most popular skills cheerleaders use including cartwheels, round-offs and more. This course also includes cheerleading techniques including jumps, chants, cheers and dance. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

 

BOUNCING BUCKAROOS

Ages: 3 - 5

This class is geared toward little boys and incorporates jumping, bouncing and tumbling into fitness. Participants will enjoy 30 minutes of silly games, tunnels, parachute, obstacles and more in this 6-week class.

Let your child’s wonder of nature be filled while learning and playing with friends. Children will work on their developmental skills while enjoying age appropriate activities including learning stations, stories, songs and nature arts and crafts. A snack will be provided.

DERBY DAY

Kids will celebrate the Kentucky Derby by participating in fun activities such as races, games and arts and crafts, while having the opportunity to see a live racehorse. Learn about horses and the history of the Kentucky Derby. Create your own derby attire during this fun event.

 

FLASH’S JUNIOR GARDENING PROGRAM

Enjoy hands on project-based learning in the NTPRD gardens while participating in fun activities and games. Gardeners will learn about seeds, how plants grow and wildlife in the garden. Participants should dress appropriately for the outdoors.

Want to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend in a special way? Bring your little prince or princess to join a tea party with Cinderella and Prince Charming at the pumpkin carriage! Tea, juice, and finger snacks will be served. Participants will play games and get a keepsake to take home as well.
